Team Kawasaki CLS is pleased to confirm his final line-up for the 2009 FIM World Championship. Alongside Steven Frossard (250 Kawasaki) and Gregory Aranda (450 Kawasaki), the team will enter young Frenchman Loic Rombaut in the French and World Championships.
Longtime Kawasaki rider, Loic finished third in the French Elite series and is currently second in the MX2 European Championship with two more rounds to go (Switzerland and Germany). Member of the French hopeful squad of Bourges (center of France) Loic will defend his position towards his two main opponents, Loic Larrieu (former CLS rider) and Nicolas Larsen and then will race the European Motocross of Nations in the French team, and winter Supercross events. He will keep his actual partners for the end of the season, and will join team CLS on the 1st of January to have the same testing and racing program as his teammates.
Loic Rombaut and CLS teammanager Jean Jaques Luisetti signing for 2009
Jean Jacques Luisetti. ‘Since a few months we’ve been talking a lot with partners, Kawasaki representatives and riders to finalize our line-up. As we’ve decided by mutual agreement to stop our collaboration with Loic Larrieu, we signed a two years deal with another promising young kid, Loic Rombaut. He proved this year in the European Championship as well as the French series his great potential, and he is part of the Kawasaki family since a while. He came, qualified and scored points at two rounds of the World Championship. With Steven, Gregory and Loic we’ve a young squad, and we expect some great results in the future. I’d like also to say that we are proud to see that the French Federation selected Steven and Gregory for the Nations, it’s a great reward for the riders and team members’
