During  the last round of the Belgian United Telecom Trophy, which was held at the sand quarry at Mont St. Guibert, it was Jeremy Van Hoorebeek of team Champ KTM who made and end to all speculation by winning both races . In the overall national MX2 championship, Jeremy managed to stay  ahead of teammate and close rival Joel Roelants who finished second in front of Dennis Verbruggen. Both Roelants and Verbruggen are former MX2 junior world champions.
This 1-2 score for team Champ-KTM is the perfect gift to their manager, former KTM factory rider and "Mr-Le Touqet" Kees van der Ven. Next season, both Van Horebeek and Roelants will switch teams to a new full factory supported team in GP MX2, managed by former MX500 world champion Jacky Martens. First, the new Belgian MX2 champion Van Hoorebeek will represent Belgium for the upcoming MX of nations at Donington Park (UK)
