G-Lab racing rider Arne Tode secured a 3rd and a 1st podium position (on board his Honda CBR 1000RR equipped with Moto-Master Flame rotors) during last weekend's IDM superbike race 5 and 6 at the infamous Nurnburgring in Germany. During the first race it was Moto-Master rider Gareth Jones of RT Motorsport who was slammed from his bike while in 3rd position by Suzuki's Gabor Rizmayer. The unfortunate Jones broke his wrist during the process. Meanwhile Arne Tode made maximun advantage of the situation by overtaking BMW factory rider Werner Daemen for 3rd overall. Daemen experienced great difficulty in avoiding a colission when Jones slid off the track.

At the start of the second race it was Norwegian Kay Borre Andersen who made the holeshot, directly followed by KTM's Didier van Keymeulen. During the 5th lap KTM collegue Stefan Nebel pushed on to leading position, followed by Keymeulen, Andersen, Teuchert, Arne Tode and Rizmayer. Nebel, Teuchert and Tode managed to slip away and formed their own battle with a 7 second lead over the rest of the field. In the end it was Tode who claimed victory with a stunning outside overtaking move over Nebel. Teuchert's Yamaha run with a high water temperature so he decided to ease of and secure 3rd podium position. Arne Tode was over the moon with his first IDM superbike win, especially because he made a poor start. " A big thanks to the team for preparing the perfect bike" he said. "The performance of my Moto-Master Flame rotors is outstanding, I could outbrake anyone today!"
